Principal's Corner
Dear Lincoln Families and Community,
I am excited for a new year! Recently, a parent described Lincoln as a “hidden gem.” That statement stuck with me because I truly believe Lincoln has a gem-like quality. My hope is that when you enter the building and walk down the halls you experience the same feeling.
Many times you will hear Midvale-Lincoln and what makes us unique is that we are two campuses but we are all one big family! Midvale is a 4K-2nd grade building. Lincoln is the 3rd-5th grade building with one all day 4K classroom. We share a School-Community Organization (SCO) which helps to bridge the two campuses together.
Lincoln is a school where we want all students to feel like they belong and thrive. We will hold students accountable for their learning and behavior. We look forward to working as partners with you so our work in anti-racism and equity practices creates a safe and loving school for all.
Our staff is incredibly talented and are proud to be members of the Lincoln family. Everyone from classroom teachers, specialists, office staff, EA’s, the custodians and food service are here to make sure your students are learning and feeling like they belong.
I also want to thank our school partners who help to support us in many different ways from providing school supplies, help with our parent empowerment groups, volunteers and much more! We create these partnerships with Doxa Church, Hope Worldwide, SSM Health, and Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds.
I look forward to a terrific school year full of growth and joy!
In Partnership,
Abby A. Watson, Principal
